Privacy Policy - Student Showcase

Last updated: March 2026

Overview

Student Showcase is designed from the ground up with privacy as its core principle. It is intended for use in Early Years and primary school classrooms, where the privacy of children is especially important.

Data collection

Student Showcase collects no personal data. It does not transmit, upload, sync, or share any information with any external server, service, or third party.

There are no user accounts. There is no analytics. There is no advertising. There is no tracking of any kind.

What is stored and where

All data created within the app - including student names and photographs - is stored exclusively on the local device on which the app is installed. This data never leaves the device unless the teacher manually chooses to export photos to the device's camera roll using the built-in export feature.

Student photos are not saved to the device's camera roll automatically. They are stored in a private folder within the app's own storage area, inaccessible to other apps.

Camera access

The app requests access to the device camera solely to allow students to photograph their work. Photos taken within the app are saved directly to the app's private storage. They are not added to the camera roll or shared with any service.

Photo library access

The app requests permission to add photos to the device's camera roll only when the teacher explicitly uses the Export feature. The app does not read from the camera roll under any circumstances.

Children's privacy

Student Showcase is designed for use with young children. No personal data about children is collected, stored externally, or shared. All information remains on the device under the control of the teacher.
