Privacy Policy

Our Super Stories Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 20, 2026

Our Super Stories is a local-first iPad app for teachers to collect, organise, and play classroom story videos. It does not require an account, does not use cloud sync, does not include advertising, and does not track users.

Data Stored On The Device

The app can store story videos added by the teacher, custom thumbnails, story titles, story dates, teacher group names, notes, pinned state, display settings, an optional teacher logo, a local teacher passcode hash and salt, and export packages created by the teacher for backup or transfer.

This information stays on the iPad unless the teacher chooses to export or share it using iPadOS sharing features.

Photos Access

Our Super Stories asks for photo library access only when a teacher chooses a story video, custom thumbnail, or optional teacher logo. The app does not scan the photo library in the background. It only receives the items selected by the teacher.

Files And Backups

Teachers can add story videos from Files, import a `.ourstories` package from Files, and export a `.ourstories` package for backup or transfer.

Export packages may contain library videos, thumbnails, optional logo, story titles, dates, groups, notes, pinned state, and display settings. The teacher controls where exported packages are saved or shared.

Data Collection

Our Super Stories does not collect personal data from the app for the developer. The current version does not use user accounts, analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking technologies, third-party crash reporting, cloud storage, or server sync.

Children And Classroom Content

Our Super Stories may be used by teachers with classroom videos or child-created story content. That content remains under the control of the teacher and the iPad owner. The app does not upload classroom content to the developer.

Teachers and schools are responsible for choosing what content they import, store, export, or share.

Data Deletion

Because app content is stored locally, deleting stories inside the app removes their local video and thumbnail files from the app's storage. Deleting the app from the iPad removes the app's local data from that device, subject to normal iPadOS backup and device-management behaviour.

If a teacher has exported a backup package, deleting the app does not delete copies of that package saved elsewhere.

Changes To This Policy

This policy may be updated if Our Super Stories adds features such as cloud sync, analytics, accounts, or other services. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes.
